Female Chaffinch

The reason birds can fly and we can't is simply because they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings.

Pan, who and what art thou?" he cried huskily.
I'm youth, I'm joy," Peter answered at a venture, "I'm a little bird that has broken out of the egg"

These were taken through my kitchen window so are a wee bit fuzzy.  The colourful male chaffinches are constant visitors but the females are rarely seen, I'm not sure why,

  1. We get just as many females as males here so I don't understand your lack of them. Lovely pics!

  3. Beautifully captured delightful bird! And the words are perfect. We seem only to get Sparrows ... hundreds of them. each species has it's own personality. x

  4. We get both, but the males are certainly more eye catching and I think the females sometimes blend in with the sparrows.
