Laugharne

I think, that if I touched the earth,
It would crumble;
it is so sad and beautiful,
so tremulously like a dream.

Coastal Trees

Trees are poems that earth writes upon the sky,
We fell them down and turn them into paper,
That we may record our emptiness.

Lone Sheep on a Mountain-Top

The one who follows the crowd will usually get no further than the crowd.

The one who walks alone is likely to find himself in places no one has ever been.

Bone Structure

I do an awful lot of thinking and dreaming about things in the past and the future - the timelessness of the rocks and the hills - all the people who have existed there. I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show.

The Wash Pool, Abergwesyn

In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans; in one aspect of You are found all the aspects of existence.

Sometimes if you stand on the bottom rail of a bridge and lean over to watch the river slipping away beneath you, you will suddenly know everything there is to be known.

Last Evening's Moon, Sky, Trees and River

Don't tell me the moon is shining; show me the glint of light on broken glass.

Some photos taken last evening when I glimpsed the nearly Full Moon outside the cottage window. The skies were really this blue.

I am hoping to catch sight of the Full Moon tonight but fear it may be too cloudy.

River

How could drops of water know themselves to be a river?
Yet the river flows on.

Around Myddfai

Every time I take my camera out on a jaunt, I (luckily) always meet a cat, a dog and a horse. It is to be expected now.

My last jaunt was no exception.

Inside Myddfai Church

Quiet is peace. Tranquillity. Quiet is turning down the volume knob on life. Silence is pushing the off button. Shutting it down. All of it. - Amir
